Born in Glasgow, he trained as an architect and interior designer, as did many people. So why was he so different? Once the paint is completely cured the knots are exposed and corners are worn off. But it's the woodworm effect that gives the furniture unique, two hundred-year old charm. Once the ageing process is complete each piece is hand waxed to a level of perfection customers rarely experience.
